True Believers
After the Infinity War, Iron Man returned to Earth. He and Captain America decided for the greater good to set aside their differences brought about during the Civil War, and reassemble The Avengers. Moving back into their upstate compound, the team was once again ready to fight the battles that we never could.
Tony and Peter Parker got to work repairing their fallen Avenger, Vision. Because he was brought to life with the Mind Stone, and Thor needed it to use the Gauntlet, Vision was not brought back to life by his wish. When Falcon questioned why Vision simply couldn’t be turned back on, Tony explained that the combination of being operated by the most advanced AI known to man and an Infinity Stone made the problem immensely more complex.
Sam then suggested putting the Vision to rest, giving him a hero’s sendoff. However, Tony revealed that Wanda threatened to “turn him inside out” if Vision was not revived. Having witnessed her destroy an Infinity Stone, Tony was not eager to find out whether or not Wanda was actually capable of such a feat.
Sam next questioned if Vision would be the same if he was resorted, and Tony informed him that Vison’s memories would be intact due to weekly backups he was uploading to the Avengers compound before going off the grid. As an alternative power source, they would use an Arc Reactor, however since Nick Fury locked up the Infinity Gauntlet, including the Mind Stone, they’d need a new AI to run him.

Peter was concerned there would be no suitable replacement for the Mind Stone, but Tony had been working on something. A new version of JARVIS. Being that Visions initial AI was the original JARVIS model, and the fact that JARVIS had been running simulations on the Mind Stone while Tony and Bruce Banner were in possession of Loki’s scepter, with only a few upgrades Tony was able to create the next best thing to the stone itself. Even Peter acknowledged he’d never seen processing power like that of the new JARVIS.
Sam’s final question to the two was inquiring as to why the Vision was suddenly all white, completely devoid of color. Tony said he had to strip Vision down to brass tacks to initiate repairs, and insisted they could take care of the paint job later.
Across the room, Steve Rogers watched a news broadcast, not entirely pleased with what he was hearing. A renowned scientist and mysterious capitalist known as Victor Von Doom had purchased the ruins of Sokovia, the country destroyed during the Age of Ultron, and transformed it into a new sovereign nation known as: Latveria. Doom promised that under his monarchy, the people would prosper like never before. However, Steve remained unconvinced, stating that Doom simply sounded like another dictator to him.
Just then, a ring came in on the Avengers hotline, prompting Tony to warn Steve not to answer it, betting it was “that Kamala girl” again. Steve refused to heed Tony’s advice, stating that they set it up for a reason and he wouldn’t ignore anyone’s call. Tony stated that if it was Kamala, to inform her that Captain Marvel would not be returning to Earth.
Steve answered to find a man on the other end who introduced himself as Joshua Westbrook. Joshua informed Steve that he ran a multimedia conglomerate known as Face Front Blog, and was venturing into superhero content. He was disheartened that even after stopping Thanos, some people in the world still saw superheroes as a problem. Joshua’s aim was to display superheroes as they truly are, and show the good they can do. He was pleased when Steve agreed that it was a good idea, and asked what he had in mind.

Joshua suggested a documentary TV show, to follow a hero around and see what it’s like day to day, to which Sam overenthusiastically volunteered, claiming that if Westbrook was just handing out TV shows, it was time for the world to know what the Falcon was capable of. Joshua agreed, and Sam left, already planning the title of his new show: Sam Says.
Tony offered up the Stark Industries AV studio for Face Front to use, as well as Peter Parker as an intern. When Peter questioned why he was being volunteered, Tony informed him he needed to pump up his CV, rightfully reminding Peter that he couldn’t put “stopping Thanos” on a college application. Luckily, Joshua revealed that he was a huge Spider-Man fan.

He offered to let Peter help him produce shows and do news announcement for Face Front. When Joshua revealed that he had a contract with the Daily Bugle, and that Peter would be doing the Face Front Newsflash from the Daily Bugle newsroom, Peter was all to excited to join, knowing J. Jonah Jameson would hate the thought of him sitting behind his desk. Joshua thanked the Avengers, ready to embark on this brave new partnership head first! Ready to face front.
