So I was very, VERY, excited about this new Marvel Legends Rivals Spider-Man figure. I was even willing to overlook the outdated articulation, because he looks really good. But… I have another, really big concern. Look.
Do you see it?
Look closely.
For the uninitiated, notice that any picture with an open hand is on his left, and any picture with a Thwipping hand is on his right. He has pictures with two fists though. Exhibit A:
This leads me to very nervously believe that he only has one Thwipping hand and one open hand. Which, for the only Marvel Legends Marvel Rivals figure that’s going to be on the market, is a very, very big problem. I am desperately hoping since we haven’t seen their packaging yet that they include two of each set of hand and this post ages like bad milk. But… maybe that’s just why we haven’t seen the packaging…
The Punisher, Luna Snow, Moon Knight and Venom all look phenomenal! (Jeff is a statue, literally inexcusable for a line that has done Lockjaw, Cosmo and Zabu.) But I’m telling you, if this Spider-Man has an incomplete set of hands… dang, they know I have choice but to buy it if I want a Rivals Spider-Man, but I will be VERY LOUD ABOUT IT!!!!
Let’s hope that’s not the case. Fingers crossed. Face Front True Believers, and I’ll see you in the Multiverse!
