Spider-Man: Web-Warriors Episode 9: Zombie Hunter Spider-Man
Next on Spidey’s list of Web-Warriors is a Spider-Man who hunts the creatures that destroyed his world: ZOMBIES!
Well, much like the What If…? episode, that was heartbreaking! Poor Zombie Hunter Spider-Man ended the team-up the same he began it… alone. Unless you count a body-less Ant-Man making constant head puns and a sentient cloak, but I don’t think he does…
This episode was actually requested by a surprising number of people. And who am I to deny the fans? Web-Warriors, after all, was created to showcase the different Spidey’s that you all wanted to see! Now I chose to do this episode a bit differently. Instead of Zombie Hunter Spider-Man going in for an interview, I had Spidey go to him, like the gang did in Episode 4 of the series.
This allowed me to set the episode after the events of What If…? and create a brand new narrative for both Spiders to engage in! Of course, however, this didn’t come without my usual order of callbacks and references!
Easter Eggs
Zombie Hunter HQ
One of the coolest parts about the What If…? episode was the Zombie Hunter HQ! A bunch of subway cars suspended in the air by a giant spider web!? Ignoring the fact that Spider-Man’s web fluid dissolves in an hour, this is such a cool concept and I love it so much. So when it came to designing the inside for the set, I made sure to build longer instead of wider.
Comparing Notes
Zombie Hunter Spider-Man is the same as the MCU Spider-Man up until Infinity War. Which, if you’re watching the Face Front Original Series The End of the Marvel Universe, you know is where my universe also takes a different path. So when figuring out about his life, Spidey finds that he and Zombie Hunter Spider-Man are essentially the same person, who went through all of the same events in life! Except for, you know, the Zombie Apocalypse…
The Plan
Peter states that King T’Challa is in Wakanda lining up a satellite array to broadcast the Mind Stone cure worldwide. If you’ll remember, that’s how the episode ended. With the survivors of the team on the way to Wakanda. The second array at Stark Industries was made up by me, but I thought it would make for a good ultimate goal/challenge for our friendly neighborhood Zombie Hunter Spider-Man! Also… there was a zombie Thanos waiting for them, and that’s game over, so I definitely didn’t wanna go that route!
Return of the Marvel Zombies!
I had two wonderful zombie figures with Iron Man and Captain America! The two key Avengers! But they died, like, almost immediately and quite easily in the show. So to use them, I had to find a way to bring them back! Which led to the 3rd zombie…
The Hulk Couldn’t Stop Her
Wanda Maximoff! If we recall, she was probably the most powerful zombie, being fed by Vision, and destroying anyone that got in her way with her undead Chaos Magic! Last we saw her, she was fighting the Hulk, but since The Watcher pulled her out of the a portal to use against Infinity Ultron, I’m gonna assume she won that fight. If anyone can revive dead zombies, it’s an undead Scarlet Witch!
Remembering the Team
After Wanda revives Cap and Iron Man, Zombie Hunter Spider-Man realizes that it’s basically a lost cause. Looking at Peter ready to fight reminded him of his old team. Happy Hogan, Okoye, the Winter Soldier, Sharon Carter, and of course, Hope VanDyne. Zombie hunters that fought to the bitter end. Unable to stomach losing another friend, he sends Peter on his way, hoping he’ll got on to a better world.
Smile for Me
“If we don’t keep smiling when they can’t, then we might as well be gone too.” Something Zombie Hunter Spider-Man told Hope that Aunt May said to him. Which is why in the episode, when Hope sacrificed herself, she told Peter to smile for her. Wanting to carry on the feeling of, well, hope, Zombie Hunter tells Peter to smile for him. Even as he stays behind, mirroring Wasp’s sacrifice. Hope would be proud.
Merch
Is Zombie Hunter Spider-Man your favorite Web-Warrior? Do you want people to know that everywhere you go? Then don’t forget to stop by the Merch Store and grab this awesome Zombie Hunter Spider-Man T-Shirt! In cosmic purple or shadowy black!
Remember, once we hit 100 Merch sales, anyone that purchased even a single piece has a chance to win the Marvel Legends Spider-Man: No Way Home 3-Pack! Click Here for more details on that!
That’s a wrap on the Zombie Hunter Episode! This one was a lot of fun to make. From the destroyed Stark Industries lobby to the throat-destroying zombie grunts (yes, that was all me). It’s definitely probably the saddest ending to a Web-Warriors episode. But Peter made Zombie Hunter promise to stay alive, so he has to! Right? RIGHT!??
We’ll see. And the next episode is a big one. Bigger than the rest! Maybe even superior to all that came before it! But who is it? Well, you’ll have to wait and see! Anyways, that’s it for me, Face Front True Believers, and I’ll see you in the Multiverse!

Spider-Man: Web-Warriors Episode 7: Ultimate Spider-Man (Part 1)
The Spidey team is about to get the Ultimate upgrade! Ultimate Spider-Man swings into Web-Warriors ready to prove why he’s the best in the Spider-Verse! But not everyone seems to share this opinion…
Ultimate Spider-Man is an episode I’ve been waiting for because I thought it would be a fun challenge to capture the chaotic nature of the show. With the cutaways and the crazy noises, I really wanted this to feel like an episode of the 2012 TV show. Of course, that included throwing in a whole bunch of references!
Easter Eggs
The Spider-Cycle
After Ultimate Spidey lands on the bike in the Spider’s Nest, he says “I had one of these!” Fans will remember the Spider-Cycle that Spidey rode throughout most of the series. I, like a lot of fans, and even Spidey in the show, questioned why he needed a motorcycle to begin with. But wouldn’t you believe it, the dang bike grew on me as the show went on!
Fourth Wall Cutaways
Notice how Ultimate Spidey pauses the episode to talk to the audience. It’s something he did frequently in the TV show! It was a unique feature of this show, whilst every other Spidey show had Peter’s thoughts as an ethereal voice, this one tried something new. Spidey pausing the show to tell the audience what was going on really became one of the defining staples of Ultimate Spider-Man!
Spidey Teams
Of course you’ll all remember Spider-Man’s main team in the show, Power-Man, Iron Fist, White Tiger and, ugh, Nova. But one thing I loved about this show is that they put Spider-Man in several leadership roles, including the New Warriors, the Web-Warriors, and yes, even a crossover episode with the kids from the Disney Channel show Jessie!
Doom Demands a Banana Split
Spider-Man and his team tackled Dr. Doom early in the show, as he mentions in the episode. It turned out to be a trap, as Doom used them to infiltrate the Helicarrier, which I kind of drew from for Beetle’s attack. The banana split line was just a quite hilarious cutaway gag.
Nova
Spider-Man and Nova had a pretty contentious relationship throughout the show. At the end of the day, they respected each other as heroes and teammates, but that didn’t mean they didn’t throw jabs at each other. Bucket-head, get your webs out of a bunch, all things they’ve said to and called each other. Of course, I tapped my buddy Xavier Hernandez to voice Nova, not only because he’s a fan of Sam Alexander, but our relationship is kind of similar, always ribbing each other.
Fun fact: When Nova says “Work on your material”, that was Xavier talking to me. Because the original line, in hindsight, was super cheesy, even for an episode imitating the Ultimate Spider-Man TV show! Recording this with him was super fun, even if it took us a while because we kept messing around. Make sure to check out more of Xavier on his Instagram @shatter24wolf!
Wall of Shame
Nova mentions Spidey said he’d end up on the Wall of Shame for dying 5 minutes after joining S.H.I.E.L.D. That was a direct gag from Episode 2, and probably my favorite joke in the entire show. I don’t know why, I just thought it was hilarious.
Chibi-Spidey
One of the cutaway gags used often in the show was a little scene acted out with chibi versions of the characters. I simply couldn’t do an Ultimate Spider-Man Web-Warriors episode without including some Chibi-Spidey!
Character Cards
Another unique feature of the show were title cards they used to introduce villains or new characters. I definitely wanted to pay homage to that when I showed Beetle for the first time!
VS!
Along with the title cards for the villains, sometimes when a confrontation took place, they put the opponents on either side of the screen and threw up a giant “VS!” with an announcer shouting it to hammer the point home! Real fighting game vibes.
That’s it for this one guys. What’s that? Oooh, you wanna know about the Symbiote-suited Spidey claiming to be the real Ultimate Spider-Man? Well, friends, that is going to have to wait for Part 2 of this Web-Warriors episode! That’s right, the first Web-Warriors 2-parter! Because how am I going to do one version of Ultimate Spider-Man without doing the other? The one who, mind you, was the original from the comics! Clearly he’s not too happy about the TV show version running around calling himself the Ultimate Spider-Man!
So keep your eyes peeled for Episode 8, coming soon! Until then, thank you so much for watching. Truly, you guys are what makes all this hard work worth it! Face Front True Believers, and I’ll see you in the Multiverse!

Spider-Man: Web-Warriors Episode 5: Spider-Punk
Hobie Brown, aka Spider-Punk, has 2 rules: No gods, no masters. So picking him to join the Web-Warriors in the fight against the Master Planner is a no-brainer! Now Hobie must decide whether he’s more Spider, or Punk!
I wanted to do a Spider-Punk episode for Web-Warriors first off because I’m a Hobie Brown fan. More so of him as the Prowler, but still, it’s good to see the character get some love. And secondly, he’s just such a unique character that it allowed me to get really creative with this episode. I mean, I got to do a music video! Speaking of music, I had two songs that were just made for Spider-Punk! Literally!
Music
Here Comes Spider-Man
Surely a play on the classic line from the most well-known Spider-Man theme song, “Look out! Here comes the Spider-Man!”, this song was used in promotional material for the Spider-Man Unlimited mobile game when Spider-Punk joined as a playable character! It was loud and obnoxious enough, I thought, that it would scramble some Symbiote brains!
I Am Spider-Man
Used in another and more recent mobile game, Marvel Strike Force, I Am Spider-Man was made to promote the addition of the Web-Warriors to the game. Hey, that’s the name of this series! The other two characters were Ghost-Spider and Ben Reilly, and they also had in-universe songs created for them. I’ll try and find some excuse to use those in a future video…
Easter Eggs
Of course nothing I do is without Easter Eggs! First is Hobie’s 2 rules: No gods, no masters. That comes straight from the comics, as Spider-Punk isn’t one to bend to authority. You can even hear these rules in the lyrics of I Am Spider-Man.
Spider-Punk v President Osborn
I nearly recreated this scene shot for shot from the comic. President Osborn up on a hill with his V.E.N.O.M. (Variable Engagement Near-Sensitive Organic Mesh) troops. Spider-Punk on top a giant speaker down the street. Even some of the dialogue was taken right off the page. It was the iconic origin battle, and I wanted to do it justice.
Marvel MAX
When Spider-Punk, um… relieves President Osborn of his head, I threw up a title card that says “This ain’t MAX, pal!” That came straight from the comic, the words censoring the decapitation. Marvel MAX was a comic line of more mature and adult comics (Like Alias, starring Jessica Jones). They had graphic violence, strong language, and other adult themes. That’s why the words doubled as a censor, letting you know that they weren’t going that far. And neither am I! My videos are all-ages!
That’s it for my Spider-Punk video! I love Web-Warriors, because I can break free of the narrative of Return to the Spider-Verse for just a bit and have a little fun! I hope you guys enjoyed watching this as much as I enjoyed making it. I can’t wait for the next one, and I know that there are certain viewers of mine that can’t either! As always, Face Front, True Believers, and I’ll see you in the Multiverse!

Spider-Man: Web Warriors Episode 4: Spidey and his Amazing Friends
Gwen has tracked down some new recruits for the Web-Warriors, and they look exactly like her, Peter and Miles! Will Spidey and his Amazing Friends lend their experience as a team to the fight against the Master Planner? Find out now!
This episode of Web-Warriors is special for several reasons. For one, I didn’t write it! It was written, actually, by long-time friend of Face Front and voice of Ghost-Spider Eileen Nestman! Why, you ask? Well, let me tell you the story!
Eileen is my best friend (since the 6th grade!) That’s why she does voice work and set building for me, but she lives all the way in Idaho! A while ago, I sent her son Lewis the little Spidey and his Amazing Friends toys for Christmas. And one night, the idea for this episode just… came to her! She wrote it down and sent it to me, just for fun, but I figured it would be a great Web-Warriors episode.
I had planned on doing one with these little guys, but the problem was that I haven’t seen all the episodes of the show, whereas Eileen (and Lewis) have. So when she came down to Arizona to visit, I bought the Web-Quarters playset and we got to work! Below you’ll find an EXCLUSIVE behind the scenes video of just what that looks like. I also have the usual Easter Eggs section, but I had Eileen write it this time since, again, she knows the show better.
So enjoy the bonus content True Believers, and please Click Here to check out Eileen’s YouTube channel! She does so much for Face Front, so let’s show her some love by watching her vids and subscribing to her channel!
EXCLUSIVE Behind the Scenes Video
Easter Eggs
Written by Eileen Nestman
Web-Quarters
In Spidey and His Amazing Friends, web quarters folds out of the ground and stands obviously above the houses in the neighborhood, yet no one knows about it in universe.
Lesson Learned
Each Episode of Spidey and his Amazing Friends has a cute little moral to go with it.
They’re just… Kids!?
The Web trio seems to be elementary age in this version.
Baddies
All bad guys in Spidey and his Amazing Friends are referred to as baddies in this show, not just bad guys.
Crimes of the Past
Doc Ock stealing Christmas presents, Rhino cheating at carnival games, and Green Goblin wreaking havoc in Central Park all happened in the show, and were mentioned in this episode.
Captain Stacy??
Gwen’s mom in this universe takes the place of the role her dad usually fills but as a detective instead of police captain.
Miles’ Parents
In one episode the trio go camping with Mile’s dad who is a park ranger in Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends and Mile’s mom is usually seen wearing scrubs.
Webs Out!
This version of the trio has anime style transformations when they “change” into their suits.
Spin!
In this show Miles goes by spin in universe reason is because of tracy and the computer needing different profile names, but IRL we all know it’s so that the little kiddies don’t get confused.
That’s it for this fun episode of Web-Warriors! Hope to see the little guys again sometime soon! What did you guys think? Let me know below, make sure to check out Eileen’s YouTube Channel, and as always, Face Front True Believers, I’ll see you in the Multiverse!

Spider-Man: Web-Warriors Episode 3: The 90’s Spider-Man
The 90’s Spider-Man swings into Web-Warriors! Relive his classic adventures, and discover whether or not he’ll be enough to help defeat the Master Planner!
The 90’s Spider-Man animated series is my favorite Spider-Man show. So I was more than excited to bring him into the Web-Warriors. The show ran for 4 seasons, so there was a lot of content to pick from when choosing the story to tell and references to make. So here’s a breakdown of everything from the video.
The Theme Song
All of Spider-Man’s theme songs are instant classics. This one is no different. Everyone recognizes the Spider blood! Spider blood! Radioactive spider blood! I had no choice but to put it in this episode, by cleverly disgusting it as Miles’ latest banger!
Framed
The 90’s Spider-Man mentions that he teamed up with Daredevil to beat Kingpin and clear his name. This is because Richard Fisk framed Peter for espionage, and Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, had to help him out of the situation, as both his lawyer and partner in crime-fighting!
Blade
The 90’s series featured Spider-Man teaming up with many Marvel heroes, including the vampire hunter Blade. When Morbius began terrorizing New York, the Daywalker stepped in to handle matters himself. While they were at odds at first, Spider-Man and Blade ended up working together to stop Blade’s mother, the Vampire Queen.
The Original Spider-Verse
This was our first glimpse at the Spider-Verse! Peter teamed up with several Spidey’s from alternate dimensions, including the Tony Stark-like Spider-Armor Spider-Man, Ben Reilly, a Spider-Man that had kept Doc Ock’s tentacles, the six-armed Spider-Man, and an actor from the real world, that introduced him to Stan Lee!
The Secret Wars
This show adapted the popular Secret Wars comic, but since this is Spidey’s show, they centered the whole thing around him as the leader. He went against the Beyonder with several of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including the Fantastic 4, Captain America, Iron Man, and Storm!
Worst Enemy
Pay attention to Spidey’s words. He asks who is the most relentless, unforgiving opponent the 90’s Spider-Man has ever faced. You may remember that those are the exact words he used after he finally won his fight against Venom. Also, if that image of Venom holding an unmasked Spider-Man in a web net looks familiar, that’s because I lifted it right from the episode!
The Green Goblin
Peter’s fight with Green Goblin in this show was in lieu of the infamous Gwen Stacy death, since the show wasn’t allowed to do that. Mary Jane instead fell through a portal created by the Time Dilation Accelerator. As a matter of fact, whenever anyone “died” in that show, they usually fell through a portal.
Spider-Carnage
Remember that aforementioned OG Spider-Verse? Well, Madame Web assembled them, put Spider-Man through the Secret Wars, and trained him that whole time to prepare him for that one fight. Because Spider-Man’s clone, driven insane and bonded with the Carnage Symbiote, nearly destroyed the entire Multiverse!
Electro
Max Dillion never made it into the animated series. Instead Electro was Red Skull’s doomsday weapon, a being that could manipulate energy, given form by his son. Yeah, sometimes the 90’s got real out there.
Spider-Sense
The Spider-Sense in the 90’s series is one of the most distinct and instantly recognizable versions of Spidey’s sixth sense for danger. So I definitely wanted to include it somehow, and I couldn’t do it in the fight because Venom is invisible to it! So I just had it go off before Madame Web took him. Good compromise I think!
Finding Mary Jane
As I mentioned earlier, Mary Jane was lost to the cosmos. She seemingly came back for a while, but that turned out to be a clone created with Hydro Man’s genetics by Miles Warren, who eventually, well, evaporated. But at the very end of the show, Madame Web and Spider-Man set off through the Multiverse find the real Mary Jane. Unfortunately, the show got cancelled, and we never figured out if they found her. Until now that is!
That’s it for this one True Believers. I’m happy that I finally got to do a video featuring the 90’s Spider-Man. It was so fun bringing to life all of the many great memories I have of that show. And like any of the other Web-Warriors, this is definitely not the last you’ve seen of him! Until then, Face Front True Believers, and I’ll see you in the Multiverse!

Spider-Man: Web-Warriors Episode 1: Kaine/Scarlet Spider
With the Master Planner only getting stronger, it’s time for the Amazing Spider-Friends to expand the team! Starting the new Web-Warriors Initiative, Spidey seeks out the first candidate from the Spider-Verse to add their ranks: Kaine, aka the Scarlet Spider!
Of course, as with all of my videos, I’ve shoved a Spiders-Nest full of Easter Eggs in here! Even though it’s significantly shorter! That just means have to less time to make as many references and callbacks as possible! I will never not overdo it with Easter Eggs! So without further delay, here’s some fun facts you may have missed!
The Jackal
Professor Miles Warren taught Peter and Gwen Stacy in college, but moonlighted as a fuzzy Yoda in a speedo called the Jackal and spent his spare time making clones of Peter (including Kaine and Ben Reilly) and Gwen, whom he had an unhealthy obsession with. Talk about your creeps, he was twice he age!
Special Suit
Though they don’t have a Marvel Legend figure of this version of Kaine, thus why it wasn’t in the video, I still wanted to reference the terrifying black suit that Kaine wore for the first half of his life. As mentioned, it kept him from degenerating, and it also made him, like, ten times more menacing.
Mark of Kaine
Kaine’s face is… not pretty. So, he made sure that when he left his victims in the early days of his career, they had a face to match. I mean, pretty rude, but Kaine isn’t known for his politeness.
Inheritors
The Inheritors are a race of energy vampires that feed off of the essences of basically anyone in the Spider-Verse, or Spider-Totems. This puts every Spider-Man, woman, and pig at risk! The Inheritors were the reason for the initial Spider-Verse storyline in 2014, though the one of them featured in this video, Morlun, has been around in comics much longer than that. He mentions in the video that he will ‘never truly die’ because it was discovered, by Kaine and some friends, actually, that when an Inheritor dies, they are replaced with a clone, all memories intact, and thus they live again!
The Other
The Other is a Spider-Totem that has inhabited both Peter Parker and Kaine. It bestows great power amongst the inhabitant, including the ability to transform into a ferocious spider creature. Kaine used this ability to kill Solus, the leader of the Inheritors! A totem this powerful is of course a very enticing snack to Inheritors!
All of the Power, None of the Responsibility
This was literally the tagline for the 2012 Scarlet Spider run. It said that on top of all of the comics. Which explains why Kaine is an unruly menace willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done! Unlike Ben Reilly, Kaine doesn’t really feel the need to be beholden to the teachings of Uncle Ben. I guess being the reject clone does that to a guy…
That’s all for this first installment of Spider-Man: Web-Warriors! I’m really happy that I have this new spinoff series of shorts, because now I can shine a light on other interesting characters from the Spider-Verse that don’t play into the main storyline. Are there any personal favorite Web-Warriors you’d like to see? Let me know below and I’ll see what I can do! Until the next episode, Face Front True Believers, and I’ll see you in the Multiverse!
