Marvel Legends Spider-Man Vintage Wave Showcase

Hello there True Believers! No, your eyes do not decieve you! Marvel Legends, these may be, but this is no mere unboxing! Oh no, most certainly not. The loyal denizens of Face Front Blog deserve much more respect than that!

So, without further delay, I present to you the first (of what I hope to be many) Marvel Legends Showcase! I shelled out top dollar for a rotating display stand (20 bones to be exact!) so that you could view the latest Marvel Legends from Hasbro at all angles!

So dive in to the video above! Unless you already have, in which case… watch it again! And again, and again True Believers, because this was such an excellent wave of Marvel Legends! Hasbro has outdone themselves this time, and if this is any indication of upcoming vintage wave figs, then bring ’em on! (Anybody catch the Doctor Doom reveal!?)

Well, that’s all for me, enjoy the vid! I was sure to include all kinds of copyrighted Spider-Man music so you wouldn’t get too bored watching toys spin in a circle for 16 minutes! Maybe I’ll do them one at a time from now on… Face Front True Believers, and I’ll see you in the Multiverse!

  • Spider-Man Day 2020

    Spider-Man Day 2020

Welcome, True Believers, to what August 1st has come to be known as since 1962: Spider-Man Day! Yes, it’s time to celebrate my favorite hero, the ‘ol Wall Crawler himself, Spider-Man!

To do so, I’ve prepared a myriad of content just for you! So let’s dive right in!

First up is a new Motion Comic for Season 8 of Secret Wars! That’s right, Secret Wars is on Season 8! So go on and play, this time we’ve got Miles Morales helping Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D., and Venom on the side of Red Skull and HYDRA!

The motion comic below will lay the groundwork, then CLICK HERE to join in on the Secret Wars!

Next in line, I’ve got a playthrough of a gone, but not forgotten, Spider-Man game of yesteryear: Spider-Man Unlimited! What?! It must be old footage! Witchcraft, dark magics! By what sorcery am I able to play a game that was canceled over two years ago?

Quite simple: I’m an app hoarder and I never deleted it! Luckily for me, the game still lets you go in and play! So sit back, relax, and enjoy this Spider-Man Unlimited gameplay in 2020!

Staying on games, I figured since I promised gameplay waaaay back in my Spider-Man PS4 Unboxing video, yet the only thing I’ve delivered is a couple of photo volumes, just for Spider-Man Day, I’ve recorded my favorite level in the game!

I guess I like it because it’s got a little of everything: Action, stealth, platforming, QTE’s! All that jazz. Also, I don’t know how you n00bs play Marvel’s Spider-Man, but have a seat and observe a master at work. This is some high-level gameplay, okay! Put some respect on my name!

And now, here it is True Believers, what you’ve been waiting for! Since October 31, 2019, we’ve known that Spider-Man is missing. Where did he go? Where has he been all this time?

All of those questions and more will be answered in the next Face Front Original, Spider-Man: Return of the Sinister Six! In honor of Spider-Man Day, I’ve prepared your first look at the new original.

True Believers, I give you the official trailer for Spider-Man: Return of the Sinister Six!

AND REMEMBER! If you want your name in the credits for this video, share your Spidey sightings on social media with the #WheresSpiderMan! Together, we can find him! And make sure you’re keeping up with the latest news on Spider-Man’s whereabouts at FaceFrontBlog.com/WheresSpiderMan!

But that’s not all! As of right now, Oscorp Conspiracy: Back to Formula Quest 2: Target Acquired, is available to play! Oscorp is targeting people now! Norman Osborn has to be stopped, but only you can figure out who’s who on this list! CLICK HERE to enter the Oscorp Conspiracy! (You must complete Quest 1: Word Search for Answers, in order to get the Encryption Key to access Quest 2).

I also did another edition of Face Front’s coveted Cover Story, based on Alex Ross’s Amazing Spider-Man (2015) #16 art. The art is below, to read the full Cover Story, CLICK HERE.

If you’re looking for even more Spider-Man goodness on the blog, don’t be afraid to check out these Spidey-centric splendors!

I hope you enjoyed Face Front’s big Spider-Man Day celebration! Let me know what you think! Leave a comment below, or @ me on social media! Let’s celebrate Spider-Man Day together! It’s more fun when all the fans are in one place!

That’s it for now! Face Front True Believers, Happy Spider-Man Day, and I’ll see you in the Multiverse!

  • Cover Story: Amazing Spider-Man (2015) #16

    Cover Story: Amazing Spider-Man (2015) #16

    First of all: Alex Ross!

    Second of all: Alex Ross!!!

I can’t express how stoked I was that Alex Ross dedicated himself to doing every single cover of the tail end of Slott’s run on Amazing Spider-Man. Truly, from the first issue (which was a strong contender for this Cover Story) to the last, the cover art was strong to the end!

This, of course, gave me a boatload of covers to choose from, but I eventually settled on #16. Why? Look at it! Firstly, let me say that I love the All-New, All-Different suit to no end. I know there were some who weren’t a fan of it, or the entire Parker Industries thing, but I’ll give it to Slott on this one, the story was different, and rather amusing.

Lastly, I just feel that this is such a, for lack of a better term, Spider-Man cover! People in danger, the world collapsing around them, and Spider-Man holding it up on his shoulders! The strength, the heroism, the courage, all in one image, is enough to bring me pure joy being a Spider-Man fan.

    Oh yeah, and Alex Ross.

That’s it for now! Happy Spider-Man Day, Face Front True Believers, and I’ll see you in the Multiverse!

  • Secret Wars Season 8

    Secret Wars Season 8

We’ve hit Season 8 True Believers! And this time, there’s two web-spinning wonders joining the Secret Wars: Spider-Man aka Miles Morales, and Venom!

Recap for Season 7: S.H.I.E.L.D. won once again, with Agent Lightstream being the sole Agent in June and July. That means I will be donating $2 to the NAACP to help support the African American community. Thank you, Agent Lightstream, for your support!

This month comes with a new design for both S.H.I.E.L.D. and HYDRA War Zones, based around the two featured characters, much like the Black Panther season last month:

Expect a shocking assist from the bio-charged Miles, and a slimy beat-down from the Symbiote powered Venom!

And lastly, to set the stage for Season 8, we’ve got the second official Secret Wars Motion comic! It’s a battle for the ages!

Click Here to play Secret Wars, or, if you need a reminder of how to play, Click Here! Season 8 runs from August 1 – August 31! So don’t miss it!

  • Secret Wars Season 7

    Secret Wars Season 7

Season 7 of Secret Wars continues on the Black Panther theme from last month! That also means I’ve extended the donation deadline to July 31!

Remember, for every new Agent that plays in Secret Wars Season 7, I donate $1 to NAACP! Thanks to Agent Lightstream, there’s already one buck coming their way!

As with last month, the allies are Black Panther and Killmonger, but now we have some background on Black Panther’s involvement in the Secret Wars!

Introducing the first of many Secret Wars Motion Comics! This one centers around Nick Fury recruiting Black Panther for Secret Wars, and the drastic measures Red Skull takes to gain the upper hand!

This, and any future motion comics can also be viewed on YouTube, or the new Motion Comics tab in the Videos section of Face Front!

That’s it for this month True Believers! Click Here to play Secret Wars, or if you want to learn how to play, Click Here! Face Front, and I’ll see you in the Secret Wars!

  • Secret Wars Season 6

    Secret Wars Season 6

    Taking a Stand

As an African American man myself, the tragic events that led to the death of George Floyd have affected me in a personal manner that I’m sure many others can relate to. It’s not easy being black in this world, but I have to say, in 2018, when Black Panther came out, I saw something amazing.

A black-led superhero movie that quickly became the highest grossing superhero film at the time. That was a time where being black and being a Marvel fan went hand in hand. That being said, I’ve retooled Season 6 of Secret Wars to focus on Black Panther, and remind us of a time where people of all races united to celebrate this cinematic and cultural phenomenon.

And to show my support to all people of color, for every Agent, S.H.I.E.L.D. or HYDRA, that participates in Season 6 of Secret Wars, I will donate $1 to the NAACP. Black lives do matter, and now is our chance to prove it! Wakanda Forever!

    Allies

Allies for Season 6 are as follows. S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents will have the support of the Vibranium powered hero, King of Wakanda, the Black Panther! Agents of HYDRA can count on the support of the villainous usurper Killmonger!

    Adjusted Dates

Please note that due to the retooling of Season 6, the dates have been adjusted. This Season will end on June 30, but begins June 10! So this Season of Secret Wars is only 20 days! Plan accordingly!

    Have Fun!

The world is hurting, but we can still have some fun True Believers! So long as we act like the heroes I know you are, and keep the real world issues in our hearts and minds. So Face Front, and I’ll see you in the Secret Wars!

  • Amazing Fantasy #15 Signed by Stan Lee! My Most Treasured Comics

Amazing Fantasy #15 Signed by Stan Lee! My Most Treasured Comics

Before he passed, I was lucky enough to get a my copy of Amazing Fantasy #15 (Spider-Man’s first appearance) signed by none other Stan Lee. This is the story of how that came to be, and other comics that I hold near and dear to my heart.

  • Marvel Legends Deluxe Black Widow

    Marvel Legends Deluxe Black Widow

I got my hands on a Marvel Legends Deluxe Black Widow figure! Sporting her white suit from the Marvel’s Black Widow film (now releasing November 6), this version of Natasha is nothing to mess around with! She’s got tons of accessories, and the featured item, a stand!

Hasbro has gone above and beyond with this figure, and the stand with all of the effects is certainly something that adds flare to 1 of 4 Black Widow figures released in this movie tie-in wave of Marvel Legends. I hope they continue to do things like this. After all, if a Deluxe figure isn’t going to be mega-sized like Monster Venom, then something is needed to justify the value!

That’s it for this figure! Face Front True Believers, and I’ll see you in the Multiverse!
